LASER DENTISTRY

Application

The application of lasers in dentistry opens the door for dentists to perform a wide variety of dental procedures they otherwise may not be capable of performing. Dentists using lasers in dentistry have become adept at incorporating the state-of-the-art precision technology into a number of common and not-so-common procedures.

Benefits of Laser Dentistry

  • Bacterial infections are minimized because the high-energy beam sterilizes the area being worked on.
  • Damage to surrounding tissue is minimized.
  • Wounds heal faster and tissues can be regenerated.
  • Procedures performed using soft tissue dental lasers may not require sutures (stitches).
  • Certain laser dentistry procedures do not require anesthesia.
  • Laser dentistry minimizes bleeding because the high-energy light beam aids in the clotting (coagulation) of exposed blood vessels, thus inhibiting blood loss.

IMPLANTS

What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are replacement tooth roots. Implants provide a strong foundation for fixed (permanent) or removable replacement teeth that are made to match your natural teeth.

What Are the Advantages of Dental Implants?

There are many advantages to dental implants, including:

Improved appearance : Dental implants look and feel like your own teeth. And because they are designed to fuse with bone, they become permanent.

Improved speech: With poor-fitting dentures, the teeth can slip within the mouth causing you to mumble or slur your words. Dental implants allow you to speak without the worry that teeth might slip.

Improved comfort: Because they become part of you, implants eliminate the discomfort of removable dentures.

Easier eating: Mobile dentures can make chewing difficult. Dental implants function like your own teeth, allowing you to eat your favorite foods with confidence and without pain.

Improved self-esteem: Dental implants can give you back your smile and help you feel better about yourself.

Improved oral health: Dental implants don’t require reducing or trimming other teeth, as a tooth-supported bridge does. Because nearby teeth are not altered to support the implant, more of your own teeth are left intact, improving long-term oral health. Individual implants also allow easier access between teeth, improving oral hygiene.

Durability: Implants are very durable and will last many years. With good care, many implants last a lifetime.

Convenience: Removable dentures are just that; removable. Dental implants eliminate the embarrassing inconvenience of removing dentures, as well as the need for messy adhesives to keep them in place.

Advantages of applying implant

1. Maintaining of the neighbouring teeth, without cutting

2. To prevent the resorption of jaw bone at the area of missing teeth

3. Application of oral hygiene is easier than bridge

4. Possibility of being able to make crowns one by one like natural teeth.

5. Especially increasing of sustainability full prosthesis at lower jaw.

The criteria of the implant treatment depens on

  • Health condition of the patient Age of the patient
  • The wideness of the area of missing teeth
  • Adequacy of bone volume
  • Density of the bone
  • Mouth hygiene
  • Smoking

PORCELAIN LAMINA/VENEER

Porcelain lamina/veneer is the porcelain leafs which are cemented to front sides of the teeth (0,3,- 0,7 mm). The light transparency ofnatural tooth imitating laminas are the most esthetic treatment method which can correct the shapes and color of the teeth, in a short time.

BLEACHING/WHITENING

The process forwhitening of the teeth color which was darkened due to various reasons, is called bleaching. Materials like hydrogen peroxide, carbamideperoxide, inside the bleaching gel, react with tooth hard tissue and provide oxidation (lightening of tooth color, decoloration).

JOINT TREATMENT (TME)

If you have undergone a total joint replacement procedure, there are instances when infection in one part of the body may cause bacteria to circulate in the blood, possibly resulting in infection at the site of your implant.

Therefore it is essential that your personal physician and dentist be informed of your surgery.

It is important to maintain good dental hygiene and visit your dentist for routine care, whether you are experiencing a dental problem or not.

Prompt treatment of infections, particularly involving the skin and urinary tract, are also important.

YOUR SMILE IS DESIGNED

Within one hour, is it possible to obtain a seamless smile?

The researches show that a beautiful smile becomes one of the preferred reference points in the business life. By using composite filling materials, it is possible for us ensure teeth aesthetics within one hour. Especially the tooth aesthetics can be ensured within one hour in the front tooth fractures and form failures.

Is it possible to redesign the smile completely?

It is possible; we call this ‘smile design’. In addition to the artists, most of the people who are active in the business life and social life use this method. In the smile design, the gingivas and teeth of the patient are considered. In the patients whose gingivas are seen, this appearance is corrected primarily with the gingiva operations. These types of cosmetic operations are not operations which are frighteningly difficult. The gingivas are shortened with the local anesthesia. After the operation ends and after one hour implementation, they can return to their work. This method is also called ‘afternoon holiday operations’. We ask our patients to eat soft foods for that day. The recovery process takes 3 weeks, but there are not limitations for the patient during this time. As these types of applications can also be done withlaser, the recovery process can be shortened.
